For fast, convenient and accurate determination of the thread density of woven fabrics and loop density of knitted fabrics. Suitable for laboratory and mobile applications in the production environment.

Instrument works with moving test specimens allowing thread density measurements taken directly at production machine or loom. Handy size and ability to determine extremenly high thread densities makes it a state-of-the-art alternative to the traditional pick glass or other more cumbersome electronic counting systems.

Measuring range (mm or in) is from 8-300 threads/cm (20-750 threads/in) divided in 17 subranges aproximately 1:1.5 wide. Accuracy range, 8-300/cm, is ± 1% of displayed value, under 8cm is determinded by range multiplication.

Operates through reflection of the test specimen onto a linear CCD array controlled by a microprocessor with LCD display. Test length is 29mm (1.1in). Two AA batteries last for approximately 2000 tests. Includes calibration check plate and RS232 data port.
