Yarn Abrasion Tester. To determine the abrasion resistance of yarns in weaving, knitting or sewing. Two reciprocating bars are provided, one of hardened steel and one suitable for covering with abrasive paper in various grades. Test positions for 10 yarns with standardised weights and stop motions. The internal microprocessor and printer provides a printout of the number of revolutions of reciprocating motion achieved by each yarn before breakage. RS232 output supplied to export data to spreadsheets and analysis software.
