Digital Pneumatic Stiffness Tester. Determines fabric stiffness using the ASTM circular bend test method. A plunger of 25.4mm (1 in) diameter pushes the fabric through a 38mm (1.5 in) diameter orifice for a distance of 57mm (2.25 in) in 1.7 seconds and the maximum force is recorded. Provided with pneumatic cylinder, controls and battery-operated digital force gauge 50 kgf, 500N or 100lb (switchable) with peak-hold facility. Laboratory standard compressed air supply required.
