 INTERTEK OPENS TESTING LAB IN CAIRO

Egypt is one of the major hubs for the textile industry in the world. The influx of large modern factories and facilities demonstrates the growth of the industry in the country. The textile Industry represents 27% of total industrial production in Egypt and INTERTEK has been a part of the quality assurance community in the country for the past few years. To better cope up with emerging demand for stringent quality assurance of textile goods, the global leader in quality testing has opened a new laboratory in Cairo. With this new lab INTERTEK'S regional services and network are further extended to better serve its valued customers.
The lab has state-of-the-art facilities with equipment from leading manufacturers like SDL Atlas for performing tests as per major international standards like AATCC, ASTM, ISO, BS, DIN and more by qualified and skilled professionals to assure world class service.
The Newly opened laboratory is capable of performing various kinds of physical tests like dimensional stability to washing and spirality, colour fastness tests like washing, rubbing, light, bleach and perspiration. We can also perform analytical tests like formaldehyde, pH and fiber analysis, regulatory tests like flammability and care label recommendations and many more.
The new laboratory is working on obtaining international accreditations such as UKAS, GAP, LEVI'S and major overseas customers to prove its ability to serve its valued clients
